Tamara Dhia

Tamara Dhia (born in Baghdad) is an American actress of Iraqi origin. Tamara was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, her parents fled for the United States in the early 1980s. She received a B.A. in Communications from the American University in Washington D.C. in 2003, and then moved to New York to pursue her acting career. She has appeared in numerous short films, and have also co-founded the production company Welcome UpsideDown Productions, in which she writes and produces short films and plays. She is most known for her a lead role in Santa Claus in Baghdad, a SAG short film and The Sting.

She is an actress and writer also known for The Party Is Over (2015) and Shit White Girls Say… To Arab Girls (2012).
