ADRIAN — Siena Heights University will host comedian, writer and speaker Amer Zahr as part of the university’s annual Common Dialogue Day event Sept. 26 on the Adrian campus.

Zahr’s talk will be at 9:30 a.m. in the fieldhouse, 1247 E. Siena Heights Drive, according to a news release.

Of Arab-American descent, Zahr is an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. According to his web site profile, he draws on his experiences growing up as a child of Palestinian immigrant parents, performing and lecturing on topics like politics, society, Islam and growing up Arab.

Common Dialogue Day is a traditional day for discussion and debate at SHU. It is open to students, faculty and staff as well as the local community.
