New Documentary Film “Surviving Peace” Opens in San Francisco October 20th

The compelling new documentary film Surviving Peace, which delves deeply into and challenges core issues driving the Israeli Palestinian conflict opens Friday, October 20 in San Francisco.

There will be a Q&A with Director Josef Avesar on Friday, Oct 20 and Sat Oct 21 after the 8:30 pm show.

Surviving Peace delves deeply into the core issues driving the Israeli Palestinian conflict. It challenges the conventional wisdom about the underlying reasons for the conflict and what solutions may be possible.

The film was made in an attempt to encourage new and fresh thinking for peace. Surviving Peace features candid interviews with major Israeli and Palestinian leaders, government officials and thinkers, some of whom deliver startling admissions.

It also features private citizens who express their opinions and prejudices.The film asks why the Israelis and the Palestinians—both extremely resourceful and innovative people in every other field of endeavor—suffer from the stagnation of thinking and lack of imagination and innovation when it comes to living in peace.

Surviving Peace features 93 minutes of candid interviews with major Israeli and Palestinian leaders, along with government officials and thinkers; some of whom make startling admissions. “Israelis and the Palestinians—both extremely resourceful and innovative people in every other field of endeavor—suffer from stagnated thinking and lack of innovation when it comes to a solution for peace,” says the director of the film, Josef Avesar. “Surviving Peace offers a solution and will change the way you think about this conflict.”
