This four-part class takes a compassionate, UU-centered approach to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on our beloved seven principles. We’ll examine the conflicting Palestinian and Israeli narratives while honoring the historic pain and trauma of both peoples and explore possible responses that affirm our UU principles.

Suggested reading for class participants: The Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan (contact Brenda Garcia for copies)

The class will use a curriculum developed by UUs for Justice in the Middle East and is sponsored by the First UU Social Justice Ministry Team and facilitated by First UU members Naomi Lake, licensed clinical social worker, and Tony Brumfield, educator.
