Join Laila El-Haddad and the Tabard Inn’s renowned chef, Joud Achkar, at the historic Tabard Inn for a culinary celebration of Gaza and the rest of Palestine. (And support American Near East Refugee Aid, ANERA, while you do so!)
Laila and Maggie are releasing the expanded, wholly redesigned 2nd edition of their gorgeous cookbook, The Gaza Kitchen– described by no less an expert than Anthony Bourdain as “A classic of world food.”
For our distinctive, prix-fixe dinner, Tabard Inn chef Joud Achkar will be preparing dishes from The Gaza Kitchen and from other parts of historic Palestine. (Joud grew up as a Palestinian refugee in a Syrian camp and is a master of northern-Palestinian cuisine.)
Our event will start with a reception at 4:30 PM, during which guests can mingle, hear a little from our wonderful featured experts, and buy copies of The Gaza Kitchen. Dinner will begin at 6:00 PM.
Your ticket cost includes the food, the gratuity, and taxes. We are also delighted that $10 of each ticket purchase will go to ANERA,* which supports vulnerable Palestinian populations through health, education and economic development programs.
