Palestinian Tales: A Storytelling Workshop
Date(s) - 07/30/2017
2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
The Potter’s House
In partnership with Palestinians Podcast, the DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival (DCPFAF) will host a FREE storytelling workshop at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30 at The Potter’s House (1658 Columbia Rd NW).
Participants will explore the art and importance of storytelling, discover the essentials of good storytelling, and work to build their own narrative by discussing topics of identity, culture, community and struggle.
There are only 15 spots open, so you must register in advance! A $10 deposit is required to hold your spot, which will be refunded to you in full once you check-in at the workshop.
Workshop participants may be invited to perform their story on stage at Palestinians, Live! during the 2017 DCPFAF this October.
What’s the deal with storytelling and Palestinians Podcast?
Since 2015, the Boston-based Palestinians Podcast has hosted a series of live storytelling events, where 5-8 storytellers share their truths, trials, triumphs, and tribulations. Palestinians Podcast frequently partners with festivals, museums and student groups, and is partnering with the DCPFAF to bring a unique Palestinian perspective to the District.
