Recent images of Syrian refugees have surfaced and caught the world’s attention. These images show the tragedy and despair that many Syrians are facing as they try to leave their war-torn country in search of a safer place for their families. The Syrian crisis is said to be the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. There are currently 4 million Syrian refugees, of which 50% are children. Most of these children are malnourished and don’t have access to education. The U.N. has estimated that more than $8.4 billion dollars are needed to provide for those affected by the crisis.
We are organizing a roller blading skating charity event to raise money for our Syrian brothers and sisters at the Greek border. This will be your opportunity to come have fun and raise money for a good cause. Please join us for this family friendly skating event being held on Sunday- Feb.19th, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m at Skatin Station 2 in Canton. Tickets are $20 per person which includes admission and regular skates (in-line skates are an additional $2.00 extra.)
The ticket price includes skate rental but guests are welcome to bring their own skates.
PLEASE NOTE: Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Can’t make it to the event? No worries—you can still participate by purchasing a ticket and giving your donation online.
