Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny has just made history as the first Arab celebrity to get a monument in his honor in Hollywood’s iconic Chinese Theater.

In a ceremony on August 9, Hosny got his hand and foot prints cemented in the renowned movie palace that is located on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

In an unprecedented feat for Arab stars, Hosny has joined the ranks of an exclusive group of Hollywood stars to receive the honor, including Michael Jackson, Al Pacino, Marilyn Monroe and Brad Pitt.

Apart from imprinting his hand and foot prints, Hosny gave an exclusive performance at the theater, after the screening of his new movie Tesbah Ala Kheir (“Goodnight”).

The 39-year-old actor, composer, director and songwriter has thus added the Hollywood monument to his award tally, which includes the “Legend of the Century” title granted by the Big Apple Music Awards Foundation in 2010.

He has also been named among the “10 Most Influential In The Arab Cinema” by Variety magazine.

Fans are beyond proud

“You are a source of pride for Egypt, the Arab world and all of Africa. You are really the best in this world.”

Congrats are in order
