Emerging from the Arab Film Festival, the Arab Film Series @ AANM is a collaborative effort between Cinema Lamont and the Arab American National Museum (AANM). The series brings a wide range of new and classic films by Arab and Arab American filmmakers to the doorstep of metro Detroit, uniting community members through film, dialogue and activism.
This season’s film series highlights films and programs directed and/or curated by women. Each program brings to light, the power of women directors, politicians and community activists.

Deep beneath Earth’s Arctic permafrost, seeds from all over the world are stored in the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. For the first time ever, seeds from a major gene bank in Aleppo are now being replicated in the Beqaa Valley.Wild Relatives loosely links together different narratives and biographies, opening a space to reflect on biodiversity, resilience, global justice and climate change, as well as manmade disasters and the ambivalent efforts made to overcome them.
