Discover secrets hidden in plain sight in Washington, DC by foot!
About this event
Did you know there is wisdom embedded throughout the visual make up of Washington, DC? Curious what you can learn about the Nation’s Capitol by paying attention to street alignment, symbols on buildings, and numerical patterns found in various objects and places in the city?
Join an Egypt on the Potomac Field Trip facilitator to uncover secrets hidden in plain sight along the 16th Street Meridian Hill Corridor of Light.
During this walking excursion you will explore aspects of African mythology, African American, American, and Washington DC history. The Field Trip illuminates the ancient Egyptian influence on the founding fathers of the United States of America, as well as their acknowledgement of the Nile Valley origins of civilization.
We will walk less than a mile through Meridian Hill Park and up 16th Street.

Where does the Walking Field Trip take place?
The Field Trip begins at Meridian Hill Park and concludes at the Washington Family Church on 16th Street, NW. During the Field Trip, you will learn why this street is known as the Corridor of Light and you will visit the Scottish Rite Temple.

Video or audio recording of the Field Trip is NOT permitted.
