The objective is to promote engi neering\, architecture\, and information technology as worthy professions and to foster stronger ties between the Association and the Arab American Community.\nThe number and value of the scholarship(s) will be decided eve ry year based on the amount raised by the Education and Scholarship Commit tee of the AAAEA-Capital Area and will be presented at a function of the A ssociation. Each scholarship will be awarded this year at an amount up to $1\,000. The names of the awardees will be announced at an upcoming AAAEA- Capital area event around the end of the year. The awardees will receive a certificate and a check.\n2025 SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:\n\n& nbsp\;\n·Must be a Student Member of AAAEA - Capital Area or a child of a current member of the association.\n·Must be an undergraduate or graduat e student currently studying in the field of engineering\, architecture or information technology at an accredited four-year College or University i n the Capital Area (D.C.\, Maryland\, Virginia).\n·Have a minimum cumulat ive grade point average\, GPA\, of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.\n·Applicants must complete the AAAEA Scholarship Award Application and submit all required d ocuments.\nSELECTION CRITERIA:\n\n \;\n\n35% - Essay\n\n30% - Most Rec ent College Transcript (GPA)\n\n20% - Extracurricular Activities\n\n15% - Letter of Recommendation\n\n \;\nThe presentation quality criterion wi ll be an assessment of the applicant's submittal for neatness\, organizati on\, spelling and proper English usage.\n \;\n\nAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIO NS:\n\n \;\nApplicants must complete the AAAEA scholarship award app lication which consists of items 1 through 5 listed below and email it t o president@aaaea-capital.org by Novemeber 30th with the subject line: A ttention: Scholarship Program.\n1.     Complete the application.\n 2.  Provide an official college transcript indicating course grades and cumulative grade point average. (This is required from everyone except fre shmen who are required to submit their acceptance letter into a college of engineering program).\n3.     Provide a letter of recommendation wri tten by a faculty member (from the student's field of study).\n4.      Provide an adequate description of the applicant's extracurricular activ ities.
