AFSC’s Chicago office supports programs working for peace and social justice. Our two main programs are currently:

->The Palestine-Israel Program, which works to create awareness and support for social change initiatives for a just settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

->The Chicago Peacebuilding Program, which works locally and nationally to dismantle militarism, policing and white supremacy. Current projects include research and storytelling on the costs of policing and police militarization in Chicago, resistance to surveillance and War on Terror policies in our local communities, and training allies to understand anti-Muslim racism. We regularly train and support youth interns to build their skills and participation in local efforts.

Did you know? The Chicago office of the American Friends Service Committee opened in 1942!
