A Social Study of the Middle East, Asia, and Africa

The class will be an in-depth social study of three regions of the world: Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa.
I will teach all of these subjects in interactive methods: videos, slideshows, lecture, and activities. Students will not be bored in a class that keeps them always learning and engaged! Week one: Study of Middle Eastern history, economy, geography and government/civics Week two: Study of Southeast Asia history, economy, geography and government/civics Week three: Study of Africa's history, economy, geography and government/civics Terms that will be taught: market economy, command economy, traditional economies, mixed economies, democracy, parliamentary vs. presidential democracies oligarchy, ethnic vs religious groups, climate, desertification, free trade, tariffs, quotas, embargos, GDP (gross domestic product), and so much more information.
