 VP required)\nAbstract: In my presentation I aim to examine the quotation 
 of Ephrem the Syrian by Miaphysite and East-Syrian authors writing in Arab
 ic\, namely Abū Rāiʾṭah al-Takrītī (9th cen.)\, Yaḥyā b. ʿAdī 
 (10th cen.)\, Severus b. al-Muqaffaʿ (10th cen.)\, Sabirīšūʿ b. Būl
 ūs (12th cen.) and Ṣalība al-Mawṣilī (15th cen.). Each author consi
 ders the used quotation(s) as a demonstration of the correctness of his ow
 n doctrine. The presentation intends\, then\, to offer an analysis of thes
 e Ephremian quotations\, and the different ways and contexts in which they
