WASHINGTON D.C

With the 2016 Presidential elections looming, many key issues are playing out in the House, Senate, and within the administration.

This year, we are partnering with some of our fellow Arab American organizations in hosting Arab American Leadership Days: Advocating for Justice. AAI, ADC, NNAAC and NAAP will convene a congressional briefing to discuss issues of concern to Arab Americans – please join us from 9:30am to 11:00am on Tuesday, April 19th in Rayburn House Office Building Room 2237.

We will be discussing several issues including the increase in hate crimes against Arab Americans and American Muslims, the anti-refugee backlash, the Syrian humanitarian crisis, and Palestine. Our community finds itself uniquely at the intersection of these concerns, a position that both heightens the importance of our voice and puts us on the front lines of the governments policies governing national security and civil liberties.
