 Nabil and Randa Jarrar\, whose work explores the mythology and heritage of
  Arab culture through memoir\, prose\, and illustration.\n\nThis event is 
 sponsored by Culver City for Peace.\n\nAbout the participants:\n\nAhmad Na
 bil is a visual artist and researcher in the fields of Arab and Islamic my
 thology and paranormal phenomena. He focuses on their relationship to land
 \, natural resources\, and their integration into intangible heritage for 
 the preservation of land and collective memory. In 2015\, he founded The F
 iction Council in Jerusalem.\n\nRanda Jarrar is the author of the novel A
  Map of Home and the collection of stories Him\, Me\, Muhammad Ali. Her 
 work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine\, Salon\, Bitch\, Buz
 zFeed\, and elsewhere. She is a recipient of a Creative Capital Award and 
 an American Book Award\, as well as awards and fellowships from the Civite
 lla Ranieri Foundation\, the Lannan Foundation\, Hedgebrook\, PEN\, and ot
 hers. A professor of creative writing and a performer\, Jarrar lives in Lo
 s Angeles.\n\n\n
