A Bottle in the Gaza Sea - 2015 Atlanta Palestine Film Festival APFF2015A Bottle in the Gaza Sea. (100 minutes) – Drama. A bottle thrown in the sea and a correspondence by email initiate a tenuous relationship between two young people in Palestine divided by colonial forces beyond their control. A sliver of nurtured hope may give them the strength to confront this harsh reality, to grapple with it, and thereby ever so slightly change it.

1913: Seeds of Conflict - 2015 Atlanta Palestine Film Festival APFF20151913: SEEDS of CONFLICT (60 minutes) – Documentary. A film exploring the little-known history of Palestine during the latter part of the Ottoman Empire, a time of relative harmony between Arabs and Jews. Living side by side in the multi-lingual, cosmopolitan city of Jerusalem, Jews, Christians and Muslims intermingled with a cultural fluidity enjoyed by all. How did this land of milk and honey, so diverse and rich in culture, become the site of today’s bitter and seemingly intractable struggle?

The People and the Olive - 2015 Atlanta Palestine Film Festival APFF2015The People & The Olive. (70 minutes) – Documentary. A documentary about the daily struggles and joys of Palestinian olive farmers. When a group of American ultra-marathoners sets out to run 129 miles in 5 days across the West Bank they discover that in replanting uprooted olive trees they are planting hope and building cultural bridges.

The Other Son - 2015 Atlanta Palestine Film Festival APFF2015The Other Son. (105 minutes) –  Drama. Two young men, one Israeli and one Palestinian, are accidentally switched at birth. The film centers on Joseph who is about to turn 18 years old and serve in the IDF. During routine tests, his family discovers his blood type is different from theirs. Through further testing, including DNA testing, the family discovers that Joseph is not their biological son.

In the Image - 2015 Atlanta Palestine Film Festival APFF2015In the Image. (57 minutes) – Documentary. This film explores the daily lives of Palestinian women living in the occupied West Bank. The film portrays their stories in a novel and eye-opening manner; through video footage captured by the women themselves.

The Wanted 18 - 2015 Atlanta Palestine Film Festival APFF2015The Wanted 18. (75 minutes) – Documentary. An astonishing true story: the Israeli army’s pursuit of 18 cows, whose independent milk production on a Palestinian collective farm was declared “a threat to the national security of the state of Israel.”


All proceeds go towards covering screening, location and food costs, any remaining funds go towards supporting future film festivals and educational events. This is an all-volunteer organised event.  Thanks for your support!
