NEW YORK:

Palestinian civil society called for BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) over 10 years as a means of including the world in the fight for their liberation from the tyranny of the Israeli state. During this event, our panel of distinguished speakers will delve into intricacies of said call, discussing its importance and showing how individuals and institutions alike from all over the world can effectively respond to the call.

Pauline Park (NYAGRA; Queens Pride House; New York City Queers Against Israeli Apartheid), Riham Barghouti (Adalah-NY), and Yousef Munayyer (US Campaign for Palestinian Rights) will be spearheading the panel.

Food and refreshments will be served.

All non-CUNY attendees must pre-register using this EventBrite link! Thank you!

The Palestine Solidarity Alliance of Hunter College is a group of concerned Hunter College students with an aim to advocate for social justice and human rights for the Palestinian people and those under Israeli occupation. PSA of Hunter College believes that fundamental principles of justice and human rights direct solid steps that will be essential to a fair and effective resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict. PSA organizes in support of the 2005 Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions call made by Palestinian civil society until Israel meets its obligation to recognize the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination and fully complies with the precepts of international law by:
•Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Apartheid Wall;
•Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and
•Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.
