DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nExplore the multifaceted nature of Islamic art through th
 e metaphysics of beauty with Spanish poet/philosopher\, Professor Emilio A
 lzueta.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis two-day workshop will focus on how the Islamic t
 radition integrates scripture\, metaphysics\, art\, craft\, mathematics\, 
 language\, nature and spirituality.\n\nAn introduction to the nature\, mea
 ning and manifestations of beauty in the Islamic tradition\, not as a pure
 ly aesthetic concept\, but also as a metaphysical reality which is then co
 ntemplated in the world and translated in art. A particular focus will be 
 given to the Alhambra Palace of Granada as a sumation of the ideas present
 ed in the seminar.\n\nThe methodology will include lecturing\, interaction
