DESCRIPTION:DENVER\, CO\n\nWe invite you to the annual fundraiser of Beirut
  and Beyond\, benefiting Palestinian initiatives in refugee camps in Leban
 on and Jordan.\n\nExperience Palestinian food\, an online auction with Mid
 dle Eastern treats\, belly dancing\, and learn about the impactful work of
  Palestinians in refugee camps. And\, above all\, discover how YOU can sup
 port them!\n\nWe will start the night with Middle Eastern appetizers befor
 e a traditional Palestinian dinner of Maqoolbah. Lebanese wine and beer wi
 ll be flowing! Phoencian Kabob is providing all of the food and wine! Mays
 sa will be performing and we have live bidding during our silent auction.\
 n\nBeirut and Beyond aims to raise $70\,000 for emergency services\, a rec
 ycling center\, and cooking classes in Palestinian refugee camps in Beirut
 \, Lebanon. In Jordan\, we partner with the only library in the Gaza camp 
 and provide employment for a young Palestinian woman as a librarian.\n\nTa

 RT the work of Palestinian refugees!\n\nThese are the organizations we sup
 port and will receive the funds raised by this event.\n\nPalestinian Civil
  Defense (PCD) is an emergency services network that provides emergency se
 rvices for Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. This is the first time in
  77 years that Palestinian refugee camps have had access to firefighters a
 nd paramedics.\n\nAhlam Lajea Association (ALA) is a non-governmental orga
 nization established by five young Palestinian graduates from Shatila camp
  in Lebanon. One of the projects ALA facilitates is a recycling center in 
 Shatila Camp in Beirut.\n\nSimsim Kitchen facilitates cooking classes in L
 ebanon hosted by women from Palestinian refugee camps as a fee-for-service
  experience where participants experience local food and culture while pro
 viding supplemental income to women who are supporting their families.\n\n
 Hopes Library is the only library in Gaza Palestinian refugee camp in Jera
 sh\, Jordan. A librarian from the camp is continuously employed and profes
 sionally trained. The library is a a source of information and a gathering
  place to share ideas. Over 10% of Gaza Camp refugees accessed library ser
