 y Mass\, a brand new show in the tradition of the iconic Bread &amp\; Pupp
 et masses that have been held at the Bread &amp\; Puppet farm in Vermont f
 or decades. As usual\, the show will draw on the structures of a Catholic 
 Funeral Mass to draw attention to moribund aspects of our culture and poli
 tics that are in urgent need of funeralization and burial rites. Hymns\, s
 cripture readings\, and puppets large and small gather in a spectacle of p
 rotest and celebration.\n\nOf the show\, director Peter Schumann says\, 
 “The Palestine Emergency Mass is governed by paper mache gods that respo
 nd to the urgencies of the moment– water\, food\, medicine\, etc. Its pr
 ologue defines the two major political forces at play: the Terrorists and 
 the Horrorists. Eight chapters follow\, including a hymn for the sky\, a t
 raditional Northeast Kingdom ear dance to open the closed public ear\, the
  feeding of scriptures into the Mouth of Hell\, the weeping women catastro
 phe\, a fiddle sermon\, and of course\, a funeral march to bury the rotten
  idea of the day. The result is the invention of new collective yells\, im
 possible for our Idiot System to ignore any longer.”\n\n$10-$25 suggeste
