CADFA Eid Event
Date(s) - 05/30/2020
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Performances from Palestine and the UK in celebration of the Eid and in celebration of years of people working together with mutual respect and a wish for human rights.
Performances confirmed from singers, a flautist, an oud player and poetry readers from Abu Dis, Palestine; we hope to add to this performances from the UK.
If you can, bring along your own ma’amul and enjoy it while listening! This is a special sweet made in Palestine for the Eid – Please contact CADFA for a recipe and more information, if you like!
We ask for a donation to CADFA. For 16 years, CADFA has been bringing together people and organisations from Palestine and the UK,informing people about what is happening in Palestine and encouraging people to work together for human rights. During the last year we have run three exchange visits to the UK from Palestine (girl footballers, university students, women) and four exchange visits to Palestine from the UK as well as running many events, workshops and human rights campaigns in the UK. We support Dar Assadaqa in Abu Dis, Palestine. There is more information on our website CADFA.org.
Unfortunately the Covid crisis has already meant cancelling two visits to Palestine (March and April) and a children’s visit we hoped to run from Palestine to the UK this summer. We have kept going with a programme of online Zoom events, workshops and meetings – We hope that enjoying this happy occasion will encourage you to take part in our upcoming programme!
Because the Covid crisis is posing a big financial threat to our work, we are asking for donations to help us survive and go forward. We would also love to ask to you to join us, if you are not already a member!
* Happy Eid* Kul aam w intum bi khair! *
