SUMMARY:Capitol Rally Against Violence In Sudan
DESCRIPTION:Sacramento\, CA\nFighting erupted in Sudan on April 15th as the
  army and paramilitary forces RSF clashed\, leaving at least 500 people de
 ad\, more than 4000 injured\, and hundreds of thousands displaced\, accord
 ing to the UN. The indiscriminate attacks are targeting residential neighb
 orhoods and hospitals. Air strikes and militias roaming the streets are te
 rrorizing families\,\nwho are having to flee their homes and cities in sea
 rch of safety\, food and water. The international community &amp\; the US 
 have been slow to respond. Many Sudanese American citizens are unable to e
 vacuate. There are more than 1500 Sudanese living in Northern California w
 ho are shocked and\ntraumatized\, while trying to assist their families in
  Sudan amidst violence\, crumbling infrastructure and devastation. The Sud
 anese diaspora in California is mobilizing to help coordinate safe escape 
 routes\, medical aid\, searches for missing persons\, and fundraising.
