 5 months of genocidal war on Gaza\, a ceasefire agreement has been reached
  that will bring an end to Israel’s onslaught. With several ceasefire ag
 reements blocked by Israel since the start of the genocide\, the impending
  deal is set to take effect on Sunday\, January 19. Despite the announceme
 nt of a ceasefire\, Israel continues to kill Palestinians in Gaza\, denyin
 g those who survived the genocide any respite.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThis timely a
 nd significant conversation will feature contributions from Hani Almadhoun
  (Co-founder\, Gaza Soup Kitchen)\, Helena Cobban (CEO\, Just World Books)

 madhoun is the Senior Director of Philanthropy at UNRWA USA\, a U.S.-base
 d charity supporting Palestine refugees. Previously\, he held leadership r
 oles at Anera and Muslim Advocates\, contributing to advocacy and humanita
 rian efforts for marginalized communities. Born into a family of educators
 \, Hani's father taught at an UNRWA school\, and a scholarship from the LD
 S Church enabled Hani to earn a Master’s in Public Administration and a 
 Bachelor’s in International Studies from Brigham Young University. Based
  in Washington\, D.C.\, he has advanced causes in civil rights\, social ju
 stice\, and humanitarian aid for vulnerable communities in the Middle East
 . Last year\, Hani advocated for Gaza in high-level meetings at the White 
 House and Congress and wrote op-eds for CNN\, The Nation\, and the LA T
 imes. He co-founded the Gaza Soup Kitchen with his brother\, Chef Mahmoud\
 , to directly support families in Gaza affected by the ongoing crisis.\n\n
 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
 \n\n\nMax Blumenthal is the editor-in-chief of The Grayzone\, and is an 
 award-winning journalist and the author of several books\, including best-
 selling Republican Gomorrah\, Goliath\, The Fifty One Day War\, and Th
 e Management of Savagery. He has produced print articles for an array of 
 publications\, many video reports\, and several documentaries\, including
  Killing Gaza. Blumenthal founded The Grayzone in 2015 to shine a journal
 istic light on America's state of perpetual war and its dangerous domestic
  repercussions.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
 n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHelena Cobban is a writer and researcher on i
 nternational affairs who lives in Washington DC. In 1984\, Cambridge U.P. 
 published her seminal study The Palestinian Liberation Organisation. Thre
 e of her six other sole-authored books dealt with political and strategic 
 developments in the Arab-Israeli theater\, the rest with more global matte
 rs. For 17 years she contributed a regular column on global issues to The
  Christian Science Monitor and Al-Hayat (London). In 2010 she founded J
 ust World Books\, which has published ground-breaking titles by Palestinia
 n\, Zionism-questioning Jewish\, and other authors\; and in 2016 she was a
  co-founder of Just World Educational\, which she now serves as president.
