Our guest speaker Kaushar Tai will be delivering a workshop on Islamophobia and what can be done to combat anti-Muslim prejudice

About this event

November is Islamophobia Awareness Month, and to mark the occasion we’re holding a workshop led by guest speaker Kaushar Tai that will explore:

  • The various forms Islamophobia can take- in the workplace and in local communities
  • The reasons behind the prevalence of Islamophobia, including myths and misunderstandings about Islam
  • Effective ways to combat this prejudice

Kaushar is a Management and Training Consultant and Director of Aksaa, specialising in delivering soft skills training and Islamic Cultural Awareness and Cultural Competency Training for public sector professionals.

Supporting the workshop from Housing Diversity Network will be Josh Neary-Pegler. Josh has an undergraduate degree from the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter.
