 ful for the opportunity to host Chicago Artists for Palestine - Exhibition
  + Fundraiser presented in partnership with ACRE. 40 Chicago Artists have 
 donated artworks in support of a variety of families seeking to evacuate f
 rom Gaza. 100% of auction sales will be distributed to the families. All c
 ampaigns have been verified by organizers on the ground in Cairo.\n\nThe L
 ive Auction on June 2nd will feature refreshments\, a live performance and
  in-person bidding on the forty artworks represented in the exhibition. Ti
 ckets are available for $10 via eventbrite in advance\, $15 at door/day de
 pending on capacity. All Art will be priced with starting bids between $50
  to $300)\n\nMay 18 - June 2\, 2024 at ACRE\, 2921 N. Clark Street\n\nThe

 Museum of Chicago Bio:\n\nThe idea for the Jewish Museum of Chicago emerge
 d from several conversations with other Jewish folks living in the region 
 from which a crucial fact emerged: there is not a museum for contemporary 
 Jewish art in the city or state. The closest institution would be the Illi
 nois Holocaust Museum in Skokie\, Illinois. The Holocaust Museum however d
 oes not deal specifically with contemporary art rooted in Anti-Zionism and
  Palestinian Liberation\, as the Jewish Museum of Chicago will.\n\nA museu
 m does not get built overnight. However\, this organization is the first b
 uilding block towards the goal of a brick and mortar Jewish Museum in Chic
 ago. Taking the form of group meetings\, public programs\, critiques\, and
  exhibition making\, the museum intends to highlight the joy and liberatio
 n of Judaism\, as opposed to the strife and suffering. The project aims to
  offer accessible and multigenerational entry points to storytelling\, org
 anizing\, and cultural art practices.\n\nLed by a coalition of Anti-Zionis
 t artists\, the museum will likely be a multi-decade collective project wi
 th the long term goal of establishing a physical location. The Jewish Muse
 um of Chicago\, although its name might indicate\, does not intend to cent
 er Jewish artists or experience\, but instead explores the Jewish values o
 f: the pursuit of justice (tzedek)\, repairing the world (tikkun olam) and
  charitable giving (tzedekah).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
