 p\;\n\n\n\nLearn the basics of Palestinian Tatreez and bring home a hoop w
 ith traditional Cyprus Tree motifs. No experience necessary.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
 Multisession Duration: 4 hrs completed over 2 days. Anyone who cannot atte
 nd both sessions may come to part one and will still leave with a single t
 ree motif suitable for display.\n\nTickets are free\, with a suggested don
 ation option to donate to Palestine Children's Relief Fund\nClass Descript
 ion\nIn the first session we will learn the basic approaches of Tatreez\, 
 and how it differs from Amero-European cross-stitch. We will practice the 
 basic stitch and start a single-colored tree motif. Students may finish th
 e first tree during this session\, or finish it between sessions.\n\nWe wi
 ll start the second session with questions and troubleshooting any work do
 ne between classes. We will then learn a second version of the tree motif 
 to finish the pattern. We will finish up the back of our embroidery so it 
 is ready to hang.\n\nThe materials fee for this class is $10. This is sepa
 rate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tool
 s or materials used in this class. This will be paid once\, directly to th
 e instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor acce

 ok ( @katlombardcook )\nKat Lombard-Cook is a designer\, educator\, and re
 searcher. For over twenty years\, she has used a variety of visual media f
 rom film to fiber to tell stories. Her embroidery practice centers on fore
 grounding the value of craft and preserving practices and knowledge for fu
 ture generations. Kat has taken virtual classes from Wafa Ghnaim\, author 
 of Tareez and Tea and founder of the US Tatreez Institute\, where she lear
 ned the skills she will be teaching. As a lifelong learner\, she loves to 
 learn new techniques and share them with others through her teaching.\nYou

 the session.\n\nClass Policies\nAttire: Attendants should wear close-toed 
 slip-resistant shoes (steel-toe work boots are ideal)\, long pants\, and n
 o loose-fitting clothing that could possibly get caught in machinery. Make
  sure to wear only natural fibers (i.e.\, cotton\, wool\, linen\, etc) and
