Join me for a delightful afternoon enjoying the beautiful art of Moroccan Cooking and Wine Pairing at the lovely FlipJack Ranch, nestled in the magical Santa Cruz Mountains. We’ll be going on a delicious journey to Marrakech, Morocco through our culinary adventures together!
In this delicious hands-on vegan cooking & baking class (dairy & egg-free, but not gluten/ nut-free) you’ll make a 4-course meal:
- A Delectable Appetizer – Moroccan-Spiced Chickpeas made with fried chickpeas, shallots, garlic, preserved lemons & za’atar spice.
- A Delightful Salad – Fennel, Orange and Radish with a delightful citrus dressing composed of extra virgin olive oil, orange juice & rinds and crushed cardamom pods.
- A Magnificent Entree – Sweet & Savory Couscous made with roasted organic seasonal vegetables, shallots, garlic, fresh herbs, Moroccan pitted oil-cured black olives, almonds and dried apricots.
- A Decadent Dessert – Fig Chocolate Lavender Tart with orange zest & crushed pistachios, which you’ll enjoy with a delicious cardamom-infused dark roast coffee.
You’ll enjoy your exquisite culinary creations with McBride Sisters’ delicious wine, the Truvee Red Blend Central Coast 2013, which beautifully complements the Moroccan cuisine.
About Truvee Red Blend Central Coast 2013 – Elegant and refined the red blend is evocative of Cotes du Rhone Village style. Dark fruit and spice unfold into layers of cocoa, blackberry, cherry, rose, plum and spice.

About FlipJack Ranch – FlipJack Ranch is a Farm to Table Bed and Breakfast located on ten acres in quaint Bonny Doon near Santa Cruz.
Class runs for 4 hours and is limited to 10 students to ensure the most spectacular experience for all. Since, space is limited, early registration is highly encouraged.
Class fee is $175.00 and includes a bottle of Truvee Red Blend Central Coast 2013 and a small bag of organic culinary lavender.
Plus, all registered students of this class will receive a one-time 10% discount offer on all cooking and baking, aprons and other items available in the Toque Blanche store in downtown Santa Cruz and on their website. Discount code will be provided in the class.
I will provide an apron for each student, a delightful strawberry rhubarb lavender refresher and a delicious lemon-dill hummus with freshly baked/locally made rustic breads before the start of class. It’s an experience you’ll savor from beginning to end.
