Join us for an evening of documentary film, poetry, and a tour of the Museum of the Palestinian People.
You’ve heard about the Great Return March, the weekly protests that have rocked Gaza for more than a year now, killing more than 200 civilians and seriously injuring more than 14,000. On the streets of Gaza today, the dramatic increase in young men without legs or arms is evident everywhere.
What is the impact of this kind of loss on the next generation, and how are Palestinians in Gaza pursuing their passions despite these life-altering setbacks? Explore the answer up close by viewing a new mini documentary produced by We Are Not Numbers called “Dreams in the Crosshairs.”
This remarkable, original footage has not yet been shown, and you can be part of the debut. Speaking after the showing will be Mohammed Arafat and Anas Jnena, two Gaza writers for We Are Not Numbers now in the U.S. You’ll hear an update on the Great Return March and be able to ask questions about life on the ground today.
Before viewing the documentary at Middle East Books and More, we will have a special tour of the Museum of the Palestinian People.
