DESCRIPTION:10 a.m. – 3 p.m. ET Saturday\, February 22\, 2025\nEducators 
 Workshop (PD) – Palestine in the Classroom\nFREE with RSVP\nRegister for
  in-person OR virtual attendance\nPlease join the Arab American National M
 useum (AANM)\, Dearborn\, Michigan\, and the Center for Contemporary Arab 
 Studies (CCAS) and the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at George
 town University for a half-day\, hybrid professional development workshop.
   The workshop invites educators to hear from fellow Arab American educat
 ors and authors on how to incorporate Arab American voices &amp\; perspect
 ives in the classroom curriculum. The workshop will be held at the Museum\
 , located at 13624 Michigan Ave. Dearborn\, MI 48126. Virtual attendees ar
 e also welcome to register for a Zoom link.\n\nFeatured speakers include R
 eem Kassis\, award-wining author of We Are Palestinian: A Celebration of C
 ulture and Tradition\, and The Palestinian Table. Attendees will receive c
 opies of the books\, along with a lesson plan around the books. Teachers w
 ill learn of a variety of free educational resources.\n\nThis workshop all
 ows educators to gain access to unique educational resources\, network wit
 h fellow educators and enhance their knowledge about the Arab American com
 munity. A Middle Eastern lunch will be served.\n\nThis workshop is made po
 ssible by a Title VI grant from the United States Department of Education\
 , which is funding National Resource Center on the Middle East and North 
 Africa at Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies a
 nd with additional funding from the Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-C
