 ailable on site.\n\nEmbodied Resistance: Breath of Sumud\n\nThe gathering 
 is centered on self and collective care as acts of resilience and resistan
 ce. Empire and colonization sever our relationships to self\, body\, land\
 , community\, and breath—forcing us into survival mode. This event seeks
  to reclaim the breath as a decolonial practice: an embodied pathway back 
 to connection\, rootedness\, and liberation.\n\nWe are honored to be guide
 d in this experience by Nama Khalil\, PhD\, an anthropologist and trauma-i
 nformed wellness practitioner who utilizes breath-work\, art making\, and 
 reflective journaling to lead participants through a journey of self-disco
 very and empowerment. Dr. Khalil’s work centers justice\, healing\, crea
 tivity\, and curious compassion across all ages and spaces—whether teach
 ing in the classroom\, playing with her children\, or empowering clients\,
  she is gently planting seeds for transformation. Rooted in the Prophet Mu
 hammad’s teaching that nothing will change until we change the condition
 s of our hearts\, Dr. Khalil invites us to pause and notice\, to think and
  reflect\, to trust and act.\n\nWe kindly request that you consider making

 select a "General Admission" ticket.\nDonations are on a sliding scale to 
 support Baladna’s mission of community building and to allow others who

 lidarity.\n\nThis will be a women-only event .\n\nOur program will include
 :\n\nOpening Grief Circle\nWe begin by coming together in a shared space o
 f tenderness — to name\, hold\, and process our collective grief.\n\nGui
 ded Breathwork Journey\nLed by Dr. Nama Khalil\, this session invites us t
 o reclaim the breath as a sacred act of connection a way to regulate our n
 ervous systems\, to resist fragmentation\, and to return to the body as a 
 site of healing and power.\n\nClosing with a Tarweedeh\nWe will close by l
 ifting our voices together in a tarweedeh — a traditional Palestinian so
 ng of Sumud.\nIf you have a tarweedeh that carries meaning for you or your
  family\, we invite you to share it with us ahead of time\, so we may incl
 ude it in our closing.\n\nTea &amp\; Snacks\nWe’ll share tea infused wit
 h wild foraged sage from the hills of Palestine\, among other fragrant var
 ieties\, accompanied by light snacks — a moment to ground\, connect\, an
 d continue our reflections together.\n\nWhat to bring:\nParticipants are e
 ncouraged to bring a yoga mat\, a pillow\, and a throw blanket to ensure c
 omfort and grounding during the breathwork session.
