DESCRIPTION:To Our Syrian American Community and Allies\,\n\n \;\n\nThe Syrian American Council (SAC)\, in partnership with our allies and coalit ion partners\, American Coalition for Syria\, Syrian American Alliance for Peace &\; Prosperity SAAPP &\; Citizens for a Secure and Safe Ameri ca\, is calling on all Syrian Americans and friends of Syria to join us fo r an Emergency Advocacy Day on Tuesday\, September 3rd in Washington\, D.C .\, as the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to debate and vote on th e FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) — a must-pass bill t hat shapes U.S. defense and foreign policy\, including measures directly a ffecting Syria.\n\n \;\n\nThis is a critical moment in our collective fight for justice\, dignity\, and a free future for Syria — and a chance for our community to directly influence U.S. policy through meaningful pr esence and unified advocacy.\n\n \;\n\nWe now have a bipartisan bill ( H.R. 3941) with over 10 co-sponsors that would fully repeal the Caesar Act sanctions — a major milestone in our advocacy. But the fight is not ove r. Just last month\, a competing bill (H.R. 4427) advanced through the Hou se Financial Services Committee that expands and extends the Caesar sancti ons for another two years.\n\n \;\n\nWe are grateful to our partners i n this effort — *the American Coalition for Syria\, the Syrian American Alliance for Peace and Prosperity\, and Citizens for a Safe and Secure Ame rica.\n\n \;\n\nAs part of the day’s events\, we are honored to host a Special Luncheon featuring Rep.
