 ord 2023). Her book examines the ways in which US counterterrorism law in
 tertwines with humanitarian and development aid\, shaping the social\, pol
 itical\, and economic landscape of the region. Her work offers insight int
 o the topological workings of the US security state and its implications f
 or imperial formations. Dr. Lisa Bhungalia is an assistant professor of ge
 ography at Kent State University whose research focuses on late-modern war
 \, law\, empire\, and transnational linkages between the US and Southwest 
 Asian and North African region.\n\n\n\n\n\n
