Sabeel Center is proud to present its Family Movie & Discussion Night series for 2019.

One of the Center’s strategic objective is to bring the community together. To that end, we encourage our audiences to join us every 3rd Friday of a month with members of their families for a lively and meaningful discussion across generations.

Discussion materials will be emailed to registered attendees to enhance their viewing experience at the event and also prepare them for the discussion.

Please see below the event details, the program agenda, and links to other evenings in the series.

Sabeel Center is thankful to Alchemiya ( for making this documentary available to us for the benefit of our community.

Description : (from the Alchemiya website)
Exploring the life and impact of the greatest spiritual and legal philosopher in Islamic history, this film examines Ghazali’s existential crisis of faith that arose from his rejection of religious dogmatism, and reveals profound parallels with our own times. Ghazali became known as the Proof of Islam and his path of love and spiritual excellence overcame the pitfalls of the organised religion of his day. He influenced major figures of medieval philosophy such as Thomas Aquinas and Moses Maimonides, who shaped the philosophy of the Latin West. For almost a thousand years he has served as an inspiration for spiritual seekers everywhere as he was someone, like the Buddha, willing to give up everything: wealth, position, family and comfort in order to search for the Truth.
