During the day from 1-6pm we'll be hosting a Po p-Up Market on the porch and into the yard. Inside\, we'll have workshops and classes like yoga and DANCEmandala. In the evening\, we invite you for an Iftar ritual and dinner ahead of our evening show featuring \, a clas sically trained Palestinian oud player. The class will offer invigoration and restoration. Justin's classes are fun creative flo ws for anyone seeking grounding warmth\, embodiment and joy. ($25 registr ation required)\n\nDANCEmandala &\; Sound Healing (2:30-4:30 pm):\n\n DANCEmandala is a movement meditation practice. It takes movement (of the body\, breath\, emotion) as the object of meditation to be explored and em braced. The facilitator will hold a non-judgmental space for the community while providing soft meditative guidance during the practice. The dance f loor has dim lights and no mirrors. You are welcome to find a soft gaze or close your eyes\; do what feels most comfortable. No talking. There are n o right or wrong steps in this dance\; you are encouraged to listen to you r body and intuition and to move as freely as you like. The dance will fin ish in stillness with a soothing sound healing journey to follow. ($40 re gistration required)\n\nTeta's Yogurt Making Demo (5-6 pm):\n\n Laban as a Communal Practice: Arabs are serious about their yogurt! Food writer\, s hares the story of his laban (yogurt) journey. From hitting the perfect so ur notes to developing that delightful\, creamy texture\, he'll walk us th rough this practice\, the science of clay pots\, what he’s learned about yogurt cultures\, and why it matters to share this tradition as a means o f cultural conservation and expression. Everyone will go home with their o wn jar of authentic laban! Space is limited\, so sign up early. ($35 regi stration required)\n\nBYO-Screen Printing (various times from 1-6 pm):\n\n Facilitated by . Bring your own shirt\, canvas bag\, tanks\, jeans etc. - or buy a bandana or poster($3). You'll be printing a custom stencil desi gned by Hannah\, who will guide you through the process of screen printing . Each ticket comes with a me al for dinner catered by \, a family owned halal restaurant.\n\nOur evenin g show will feature a live performance by \, a distinguished Palestinian o ud player\, trained in both Middle Eastern and Western classical music. He fell in love with the oud as a boy and learned music in the midst of war. It was his refuge during the Intifada in Palestine.
