 , and global cultures together\, the museum introduces visitors to the his
 tory and importance of scent to the Middle East\, from the origins of the 
 distillation process and the exchange of raw materials and oils along the 
 silk road\, connecting East to West to the contemporary science and billio
 n dollar industry that is the perfumery industry today.\n\nTest your nose 
 by learning about the essential aromas indigenous to the Middle East\, Nor
 th Africa and Southwest Asia through both smell and sight. Add your scent 
 memory to our interactive wall scent memory wall and walk and smell your w
 ay through a contemporary installation by emerging Qatari artist AlMaha Ah
 med Al-Mahmoud.
