We will cover a variety of rhythms commonly used in North African popular and folkloric traditions which may include Algerian, Tunisian, Moroccan, Libyan and Egyptian. No experience is required. Marimba with Sheree Seretse
Come experience the music of the Shona people of Zimbabwe through learning a song on the Marimba. Marimbas are essentially xylophones with wooden keys. The instruments range from approximately three feet in length to over five feet in height.
“If you use your eyes, ears and hands, you can play the marimba”. No experience necessary! The ensemble format is conducive for beautiful interactive polyrhythmic and polyphonic sounds. COME JOIN THE FUN!
