 a discusses his birth in Beirut\, from Christian French/Lebanese parents w
 ho lived in West Beirut as French citizens during the devastating civil wa
 r in the 1970s. This is the story of Edward’s survival and escaping war 
 from a certain disaster. His life story carries a message of hope\, showin
 g that people\, no matter what dire circumstances they find themselves in\
 , can succeed despite overwhelming odds.\n\nEdward Callita is joining us o
 n the Busboys stage to share his story of survival and hope. Copies of the
  book will be available for purchase during and after the event\, and Chal
 lita will be signing following the program.\n\nThis event is free and open
  to all. Our program begins at 6:00 pm\, and will be followed by an audien
 ce Q&amp\;A. Copies of FROM BEIRUT TO AMERICA will be available for purcha

 allita is a Lebanese-American author whose life has been marked by a twen
 ty-six-year journey from a life in Lebanon during the civil war\, to Franc
 e\, and then the USA. His experience is a unique one\, marked by peril and
  strife\, but then also by hope and redemption in the end. In his books\, 
 Edward shares his life story and the lessons he learned along the way. Thr
 ough his writing\, he hopes to inspire others to overcome their own strugg
 les and find hope and redemption in their own lives.
