PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

From Palestine to Mexico: Walls, Violence, and the Struggle for Freedom

Join us Friday the 13th (yep!) at 6pm at Germantown Mennonite Church for a potluck dinner and presentation lead by Tarek Abuata and Carmela Apolonio Hernandez. Abuata is a Palestinian Christian born in Bethlehem, and the current Executive Director of Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA), a Christian ecumenical organization seeking justice and peace in the Holy Land through nonviolent advocacy and education. Hernandez is originally from Guerrero, Mexico, is a leader in the national sanctuary movement, and currently fights for her survival and the survival of her family while living in sanctuary at Germantown Mennonite Church.

We will collect an offering to support Carmela’s campaign and the work of FOSNA. All are welcome.
