From US to Palestine: Cross Movement Building & API Solidarity
Date(s) - 11/01/2018
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
DC Baptist convention
With the Trump administration’s full-blown war on immigrants and communities of color, what can solidarity look like between Asian Pacific Islanders and Palestinians? Among different communities working for liberation? Join Occupation Free DC for an interactive discussion on Students for Justice in Palestine campus organizing, cross-movement building, and the history of resistance to U.S. imperialism in the Philippines.
The building is handicapped accessible, with an elevator. There are gender-neutral bathrooms available. Please refrain from wearing scents (perfumes/scented chemicals). Lastly, if you message Jewish Voice for Peace – DC Metro with accessibility requests, we will do our best to accommodate. Thank you!
Entrance: Sliding Scale Donations of $5-$20 cash/venmo at the door but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please practice generosity as the $ goes directly to our speakers.
*Venmo: @LeahM-P with the description “11/1 OCDC Workshop”

The Occupation Free DC campaign (OccupationFreeDC.org) aims to end DC Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) participation in US-Israeli “counter-terrorism” police exchanges. Real safety means investing in our community, not training with a racist police force and occupying army.
