Lebanese-Armenian artist GURUMIRAN will be visiting NYC from revolutionary Lebanon to finish recording his second album ‘Notes from Underground’ and collaborate with local artists for a fundraiser concert in Chelsea Music Hall.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to arcenciel and will be matched by the arcenciel USA board members.

Funds will go towards rebuilding arcenciel’s center in Damour, Lebanon, which was severely damaged during the fires that broke out in Lebanon recently, as well as towards supporting diverse activities that arcenciel is undertaking throughout this period of crisis in Lebanon.

Miran spent time in October roaming Beirut, talking to the protesters and playing music for them on the streets. He will relay stories of the revolution and the vibe of the Lebanese citizens.

While in NYC, his new single Miranda (you have the right to remain silent) will be officially released on November 22. The song was inspired by recent events in Lebanon and portrays the post-civil war decadence that lasted for over 30 years. You can hear the official audio here:

For his concerts, Gurumiran will be accompanied by a group of multi-national artists including Nezih Antakli (percussion), Dr. Colleen Clark (drums), Delaney Stockli (violin), and Kuriko Tsugawa (double bass).
