Afternoon Arts & Crafts at SQCC –
Model Mandoos Making
Thursday, 8 August
12:00 pm — 2:00 pm
The mandoos has a rich history in the Sultanate of Oman. Traditionally, bridal gifts or dowries are presented in these ornate chests.
Typically, the chests are wooden and made of teak, jack wood, or rosewood.
What?
Join us for a free and fun afternoon of arts & crafts at SQCC. This time, we are making models of the mandoos. Come learn all about the mandoos (wedding dowry chest) and its significance to Omani history and culture while making our own models to take home.
