SUMMARY:Gaza Scholars Murdered in the Genocide:The website honoring their l
 egacies
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJerusalem Fund Washington\, DC\n\nThe Jerusalem Fund invi
tes you to an evening with Sharif S. Elmusa and Judith E. Tucker on the Re
membering Gaza Scholars website\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis website honors and comme
morates the many Palestinian scholars murdered in Gaza during the genocide
perpetrated by Israel by documenting their rich lives and legacies and ca
pturing what their loss has cost intellectual life\, institutions of highe
r education\, and their families in Palestine. Their biographies reflect t
he diversity\, resilience\, and remarkable record of accomplishment of the
se academics as they labored under the most challenging of conditions.\n\n
The conversation will introduce the website and the process of constructin
g it\, and reflect on the wider questions it raises: the destruction of in
stitutions of higher education in Gaza\, the role of archives and public m
emory in documenting lives that must be remembered\, and the imperative of
accountability for the perpetrators of these murders.\n\nThe program will
feature remarks from two of the archive’s authors\, followed by convers
 ation and audience Q&amp\;A.\n\n\n
