 mother at 9 years old\, Hanan dives into her childhood and reflects on how
  the passing of her mother affected her attitude growing up towards love\,
  friendships\, and Islam. This one-woman show playfully explores Hanan's v
 ast array of battles with religion\, grade school bullies\, and unsuccessf
 ul relationships.\n\nHalal Habibis is genuinely a vulnerable and hilarious
  show that highlights the true meaning of resiliency\, hope\, and delusion
 s in the manifestations of a Lebanese woman.Hanan Issa is a comedian and w
 riter born\, raised\, and based in NYC. She has been featured on Time Out 
 New York and can be seen performing nightly at various clubs and indie sho
 ws.In 2023\, Hanan was selected as the only new talent comedian for the 20
 th anniversary of the Arab American Comedy Festival. (pretty cool!)\n\nAls
 o in 2023\, Hanan debuted her first solo show\, Halal Habibis. She is curr
 ently touring the States (and Toronto randomly) with the show before she h
 eads abroad where the show will be featured in the 2024 Edinburgh Internat
 ional Fringe Festival for all of August.
