 onversation with Sabreen Taha. An illustrated collection of largely unseen
  Palestinian folklore &#x1f1f5\;&#x1f1f8\;\n\nAbout the book:\n\nA man wak
 es every day to find coins under his pillow\, a young lonely girl strikes 
 up a friendship with a spectral voice\, a veiled woman changes form to del
 ude ordinary senses\, a petite girl in all black breaches a group of young
  girls returning from a wedding\, a goat and her two kids draw an unsuspec
 ting young man into a hidden room\, a group of curious boys conjure the sp
 irit of Marx. Jinns and ghouls\, guardians and tricksters\, wizards and po
 ssessors. In the Old City of Jerusalem\, the Unseen beings are a natural e
 lement of everyday life.\n\nAbout the author:\n\nAhmad Nabil (b. 1988) is
  a Palestinian\, Jerusalem-based visual artist\, researcher\, and educator
  whose practice is deeply focused on documenting encounters with the unsee
 n dimensions of everyday life\, as part of Palestinian intangible heritage
 . He is the founder of The Fiction Council (est. 2015) in Jerusalem\, a pl
 atform dedicated to Palestinian imagination through the research of Arab a
 nd Islamic mythology\, superstitions\, and paranormal phenomena\, and thei
 r reactivation through interdisciplinary creative practices. Nabil is the 
 author and illustrator of Hidden Companions: Paranormals from the Old City
  of Jerusalem\, a documentation of supernatural testimonies from Jerusalem
 . Hidden Companions is available in the US in the original Arabic text and
  in an English Translation at Radix Co-op.\n\nThe conversation will be mod
 erated by Sabreen Taha.\n\nSabreen Taha is a Palestinian video journalis
 t and producer from Jerusalem. She has worked with prominent international
  media organizations including AFP\, Reuters\, and Al Jazeera Network. Wit
 h more than a decade of experience\, she has produced hundreds of stories 
 across digital and television platforms\, bringing a personal\, grounded l
 ens shaped by her life in Jerusalem.\n\nAccessibility note: This event is
