 - the principal judicial organ of the United Nations. South Africa is accu
 sing Israel of committing the crime of genocide\, in breach of the 1948 Ge
 nocide Convention\, with its destructive military campaign in Gaza. The ca
 se details an array of evidence of Israeli war crimes and human rights vio
 lations being committed including the killing of tens of thousands of Pale
 stinian civilians\, the expulsion and displacement of Gaza Strip inhabitan
 ts\, and the hindrance of food\, water\, medical\, and other humanitarian 
 assistance. The event will include discussion regarding the merits of the 
 case\, where things stand in the process\, and how the prosecution of case
 s works at both the International Court of Justice and the International C
 riminal Court.
