About this Event
Working from her interviews with women refugees, playwright Beth Blatt tells the true and often tragic stories of six women who fled Rwanda, Myanmar, Honduras, Syria, the Gambia and Kazakhstan to come to the U.S.
Performed as a live-streamed virtual reading, the play gives voice to Americans and our responses to refugees, encouraging us to look inward. During the special evening you will meet some of the actual refugees whose stories are told, as well as refugee families whom NFR has helped to resettle.
Join us as we celebrate the fourth anniversary of resettling our first refugee family and commemorate International Women’s Day.
One performance only: Saturday March 6 at 7:00pm EST.
For this fundraiser, Neighbors for Refugees offers a range of tickets and donation levels.
To add to the evening… a special meal
We invite you to enjoy an abundant refugee-powered Syrian Feast for Two prepared with love by Tanabel. Tanabel is a woman-owned, Brooklyn-based food and events company that employs refugee women with exceptional talent in the kitchen.
