SUMMARY:Introductory Perfumery Workshop with DIY Scent Studio
DESCRIPTION:\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n 	2 hours\n 	Mobile eTicket\n\n\n\n\n
 \nJoin the Qatar America Institute for Culture and DIY Scent Studio\, for 
 an introductory one-hour Perfume Workshop! The workshop will include a bri
 ef history of fragrance\, and an introduction to perfume structures and sc
 ent families. Participants will then be introduced to the world of scents 
 and guided through the process of selecting\, blending and the fundamental
 s of creating your own fragrance. Participants will be able to create two 
 scents to take home with them using a fresh/musk and amber/musk as a base.
 \n\nA limited number of observer tickets are available to those who are in
 terested in learning more about scent making as an introductory step. As a
 n added bonus\, all attendees will be gifted one of QAIC's signature scent
 s created in collaboration with DIY Scent Studio.\n\nParticipants and obse
 rvers will be invited to contribute to QAIC’s forthcoming Perfumery Muse
 um expansion by recording a short video sharing their relationship with sc
 ent or a scent memory or respond to prompts with a written response that w
 ill be installed for the expansion\, scheduled to open in September 2023.\
 n\nDoors will open at 5:30 pm allowing participants to tour QAIC’s Perfu
 mery Museum and current exhibitions and enjoy light refreshments. Tickets 
 are non-refundable.\n\nAbout DIY Scent Studio \n\nFounded in 2016 by Sherr
 y Meredith and daughter\, Gretchen Sterling\, DIY Scent Studio is a recrea
 tional concept and leisure experience unlike any other. DIY Scent Studio g
 uides you through the ins-and-outs of creating your own perfumes/colognes 
 to explore this ancient and unique art form. To learn more about DIY Scent

 \nThis class is jointly hosted by DIY Scent Studio\, and the Qatar America
  Institute for Culture. When registering for this event\, you are opting i
