Film Screening and Discussion: “Jerusalem: Dividing al-Aqsa”:

Israeli plans for al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, and Palestinian Resistance (47 min.)

Introduction by Dr. Osama Aubuirshaid, Executive Director, American Muslims for Palestine

Sat., March 30, 10 a.m. to 12 Noon (doors open 9:45)

St. John’s Episcopal Church, Norwood Parish
6701 Wisconsin Avenue (near Bethesda Metro, church parking lot off of Wisconsin Ave.)

Sponsored by Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace (PCAP)American Muslims for Palestine (AMP)

Purpose Statement:

This is the first in a series of events intended to raise consciousness about the importance of Jerusalem/al Quds for Jews, Muslims, and Christians. While Jerusalem/al Quds (“the Holy”) ought to be a model city of peace and coexistence, it is today at the center of a bitter conflict where military might and nationalist chauvinism is trumping the highest ideals of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. The series aims to shed light on current conditions in Jerusalem/al Quds and to promote an alternative vision of an open and free Jerusalem as an essential ingredient in a peaceful and

just resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
