Join the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs for a compelling presentation that goes beyond the headlines to explore issues related to tolerance and coexistence on the part of Muslims towards Jews and Judaism, and Jews towards Muslims and Islam. Using various historical and textual snapshots, we will consider a number of relevant questions. What does the Quran say about Jews and Judaism? How has the Bible been used to define the ways Jews view and interact with their Muslim neighbors? How have Jews and Judaism related with the various sects of Islam? Are anti-Semitism and Islamophobia espoused by some Muslims and Jews today new phenomena or do they have deep historical roots? And most importantly, what are some ways in which Jews and Muslims are successfully facilitating an inter-religious dialogue today?
